The North West’s most highly sort after address, The Ponds is continuing to attract first home purchasers seeking to live in one of Sydney’s newest suburbs.
More than 900 homes are now occupied in the thriving suburb, with over 1500 expected to be occupied by the end of the year.
Many of The Ponds newest purchasers are first home buyers. Alexandra (26) and Perry Dinos (26) have lived in the Rouse Hill area for several years and had been watching with interest the rate at which The Ponds has grown over the past few years.
“After many months of research on where we should place our first home deposit – The Ponds became the area we wanted to settle down to raise a family. Last month we secured a land parcel in the nature orientated new suburb to build our first dream house,” said Alexandra.
“The area has it all – plenty of open spaces, an abundance of greenery, good access to transport, Stanhope Shopping Centre is minutes away and our new home will be a short drive from the new state-of-the-art sports facilities that are opening soon.”
“Perry’s parents are just around the corner. It was important for us to be close to family. We have also met several people who now live in the new suburb and they have all been very friendly and welcoming.”
Nigel Edgar from Australand continued, “The Ponds has attracted a broad mix of house purchasers including first home buyers, young families and empty nesters. The 80 hectare nature corridor, extensive facilities including parks, playgrounds and hike and walking tracks, combined with easy access to major shopping facilities and employment hubs have drawn people to this new community.”
There are a broad range of land lots to suit all budgets, with prices starting at $299,000. Land sizes start at 413 sq m and boast many features including wide frontages, bushland views, flat contours and no community levies. They are suitable for single and double storey dwellings.
The Ponds $7 million eastern playing fields project is due for completion in Spring this year. This facility will comprise two high-tech playing fields, four tennis courts, four netball courts and playgrounds. Additional features include two ponds, training standard lighting, extensive landscaping and a car park accommodating 165 cars.
The Ponds is a 320 hectare master-planned community which is being developed by Landcom and Australand. It will comprise over 3,000 homes when complete.
