First Home Sites for Sale in Sydney's Newest Suburb - The Ponds

FIRST HOME SITES FOR SALE IN SYDNEY'S NEWEST SUBURB - THE PONDS

New home buyers will soon be able to secure some of the very first home sites to be released at The Ponds, a brand new 3,200-home suburb in Sydney's north-west.

Landcom Development Director Stuart McCowan said the first 27 home sites would be available from March 31 in Stage 1 of the development being delivered by Landcom and Australand.

"Since construction began in April 2006 there has been strong interest from potential purchasers," Mr McCowan said.

"This is an exciting opportunity for home buyers to secure one of the first blocks of land in this brand new suburb."

Land prices will range from between $265,000 and $305,000 for blocks ranging from 470 to 630 square metres.

Expected to house 10,000 residents over the next 10 years, the The Ponds is one of the largest land release areas in north-west Sydney and showcases sustainable development throughout.

New homes will contain a range of environmentally friendly options, including energy efficient design, gas boosted hot water and recycled water connections to toilets and gardens. Landscaping with native species will be encouraged. There will be almost 90 hectares of parklands to explore, including 60 hectares of riparian corridors which are being replanted and restored as a habitat for local flora and fauna.

Residents will be able enjoy a full range of community facilities, including two primary schools, two child care centres, a village-style shopping centre and pedestrian and cycleways that will link to the regional network.

The development offers convenient access to public transport routes, including the new Parramatta to Rouse Hill Transitway. Shopping areas are also close by at Stanhope Gardens and the Rouse Hill Town Centre, which is under construction.

"The Ponds is an exciting new address that will offer a wonderful lifestyle choice in this fast growing region," Mr McCowan said.
