INVESTORS MOVE INTO FAMILY TERRITORY

The Ponds, traditionally known as a family haven is now starting to also attract investors looking to capitalise on the opportunities that can be found at one of the fastest growing communities in Sydney’s North West.

Investors from as far afield as Tasmania and Queensland as well as locals are purchasing at The Ponds.

“Whether you’re an investor or owner-occupier, The Ponds represents great value for money in a very active suburb. Hundreds of houses are under construction, new people are moving in each week and sales are continuing at a strong rate,” said Tony Pizzolato, Australand’s NSW General Manager for Residential.

“Quite simply, it is the place to be in the North West. The residents are enjoying the friendly neighbourhood feel at The Ponds and are telling their family and friends about the new suburb.”

“Investors look to have witnessed the speed at which the community is forming, can see the land that will be developed in the near future and realise the potential for capital growth when land is purchased in the infancy stages of a new suburb,” he added.

“The collapse of the sharemarket in the last 12 months appears to have also contributed to investors’ renewed interest in bricks and mortar.”

Land at The Ponds ranges in size from 450m2 to 680m2 and prices start at $275,000.

Community amenities are already in place at The Ponds including parks, picnic areas, walking and cycle tracks and John Palmer Public School.

Major employment bases including Norwest Business Park, Castle Hill and Blacktown CBD are within a ten to fifteen kilometre radius from the suburb. Rouse Hill Town Centre and Stanhope Village are within a five kilometre drive from The Ponds.

One hundred and fifty homes are now occupied at The Ponds and when complete, the 390 hectare master-planned community which is being developed by Landcom and Australand will comprise over 3,000 homes.
